PRESIDENT

Prof. Olaitan Soyannwo (MBBS, DA, FWACS, FICS, FWACS, FAS), is a Professor of Anaestheisa and Consultant anesthetist, pain and palliative care. She has served as the Head, Department of Anaesthesia and Dean of Clinical sciences, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan. She is cofounder, Society for the Study of pain, Nigeria, past council member, International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP). She is also cofounder and programme director, Centre for Palliative Care, Nigeria. She is active in advocating effective pain management and opioid availability in developing countries. She was vice chairman African Palliative Care Association (APCA) Board and member board of Trustees Hospice and Palliative Care Association, Nigeria (HPCAN), She is a Fellow and past councilmember, Nigerian Academy of Science.
VICE-PRESIDENT

Prof Adeniyi Adenipekun (MBBS, FMCR, FWACS, LeR.RT(CAEA), FUICC, MNIM ) is a Professor of Radiotherapy with the College of Medicine University of Ibadan. Consultant Radiation Oncologist with the University College Hospital and a past Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee of the hospital. He is also an Asssociate. He is the Vice-Chairman of Center for Palliative Care . Nigeria and past president of Hospice and Palliative Care Association, Nigeria (HPCAN). He is actively involved in cancer care, including advocacy and training workshop for health professionals and volunteers.
SECRETARY

Adenike Onibokun (RN, RM, B.Sc, Med, PhD) is a senior lecturer at the department of Nursing, College of Medicine of the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. She a Nurse-educator, Psycho- oncologist and has a certificate in End- of –Life nursing Care from the End of Life Nursing Education Consortium, Washington DC, USA. Adenike is one of the pioneer members of the Center for Palliative Care, Nigeria (CPCN).She is a member of many national and International organizations; such as the Society for the study of Pain, Nigeria; Palliative Care Association of Nigeria; International Association for the study of Pain; International Psycho-oncology Society; and the African Organization for Research and Training in Cancer (AORTIC). She is a scholar of the American cancer society, a Fellow of the International Union against Cancer; and a member of ELNEC international trainers.
TREASURER

Adegboye Oluwatoyin Mopelola(RN, RM, PGD , MSC ,DIPLOMA)was trained at the School of Nursing, University College Hospital, Ibadan and Oyo State Midwifery School.. She is currently a chief nursing officer in the hospital. She had Post Graduate Diploma and MSc in Social work between 2009 and 2012 at Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomoso respectively. She obtained a Diploma in Palliative care from the Makerere University/Hospice Africa Uganda in 2012. She joined CPCN as a clinical and research nurse in 2008 and she is directly involved in the care of patients, giving counselling to patients and their relations on the disease condition, treatment options and prognosis. She co-ordinates nursing activities for the organization and she is the current treasurer.
